A Reed That Has Become a Reference, Supported by Consistent Manufacturing
Frederick L. Hemke reeds have established themselves as a reliable choice for musicians seeking an expressive and stable reed. Thanks to modern manufacturing processes and enhanced quality control, they now offer a particularly appreciated consistency from one reed to another, both in rehearsal and on stage. For Which Musicians and Styles
Favored by jazz and classical musicians, these reeds are also very suitable for advanced-level students who want to gain comfort in sound production and precision in attack. Their balance promotes nuanced playing, both in section and as soloists.Sound and Design
The French cut and shorter vamp direct the response towards smooth playing, with a quick vibration onset and clear articulation. The slightly tapered tip contributes to a feeling of flexibility while helping to develop a depth of harmonics and a darker timbre, useful for working on color and projection without harshness.Recommended Compatible Accessories
To preserve the response and lifespan of your reeds, a reed guard (ventilated hard case) and a controlled storage solution (humidified box) are particularly recommended.Technical specifications
