A Simple Accessory That Has Become Essential Daily
Designed to be placed directly on the mouthpiece table, the Reserve mouthpiece patch addresses a universal need for clarinetists and saxophonists: protecting the mouthpiece and stabilizing tooth contact. Its unique material provides good hold while allowing repositioning of the patch if necessary.
For Which Musicians and Playing Contexts
Suitable for all ages and all levels, it is ideal for technical work (tone production, attack, embouchure endurance) as well as long rehearsals, in classical, jazz, pop, or ensemble settings.
Sound and Design
By limiting excessive pressure and "biting," this mouthpiece patch helps increase comfort and consistency of support, promoting a more relaxed embouchure. It also contributes to long-lasting protection of the mouthpiece surface from micro-scratches and impressions.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
No accessories are necessary: this mouthpiece patch is designed for use as is and fits all types of clarinet and saxophone mouthpieces.

Questions frequently asked
Is this mouthpiece patch compatible with all clarinet and saxophone mouthpieces?
This model is designed for all types of clarinet and saxophone mouthpieces, without any additional accessories.
What is the thickness of the clear thin Reserve mouthpiece patch?
The clear thin version has a thickness of 0.35 mm. An opaque black version of 0.8 mm is also listed in the specifications, but it does not correspond to this reference.
Can the Reserve patch be repositioned on the mouthpiece?
Its adhesive material allows repositioning if necessary. It is applied directly to the mouthpiece table. No residue is reported after removal.
How many units are included in the D'addario Rico PROTGE Reserve clear thin mouthpiece patch package?
The package contains 5 units. Each patch is transparent and of the clear thin type.
Does a 0.35 mm mouthpiece patch reduce tooth discomfort on the mouthpiece?
The 0.35 mm thickness provides a barrier between the teeth and the mouthpiece table. Excessive pressure and biting are therefore limited, promoting a more even contact.
