Plasticover: a benchmark designed for stability
Plasticover reeds are based on a standard Rico cut, combined with a plastic coating designed to remain stable when the environment changes (humidity, temperature, outdoor stages). Modern manufacturing processes improve consistency from one reed to another, for more confident daily playing.
For which musician and styles?
These reeds are intended for musicians from beginner to advanced levels who seek a reliable response, especially in variable conditions. Their bright character and projection make them particularly suitable for jazz, pop, variety, marching bands, and any situations where "cutting through the mix" is important.
Sound and design
The coating provides a bright timbre, easy response, and a clear attack, while contributing to a longer lifespan than uncoated reeds. The American cut promotes a quick response and good sound presence, appreciated both on stage and in rehearsal.
Recommended compatible accessories
To ensure perfect compatibility, choose your accessories (ligature, mouthpiece cap, reed case) according to the exact format of your mouthpiece and the corresponding reed reference.
