Plasticover: a reed designed for stability
Plasticover reeds are distinguished by a standard Rico cut combined with a plastic coating designed to limit the impact of humidity on the cane. This concept makes them a reliable choice when chaining rehearsals, concerts, and changing conditions (temperature, dry air, outdoor).
For which musicians and styles
Highly popular in jazz and pop, Plasticover reeds suit musicians seeking immediate response and strong sound presence. They are particularly suitable for outdoor performances thanks to their stability, while remaining relevant for stage and studio use.
Sound and design
The coating contributes to a brighter tone, with marked projection and a sense of durability superior to that of a traditional reed. The American cut promotes easy response and a clear attack, useful for modern phrasing and amplified playing.
