D'ADDARIO SET OF STRINGS FOR CELLO NS ELECTRIC NECK 4/4 TENSION MEDIUM

A Set Designed with NS Design to Get the Best Out of Electric Cellos

Developed in partnership with Ned Steinberger and NS Design, the D'Addario NS Electric strings meet the demands of cellists seeking reliable response and a wide range of dynamics on amplified instruments. This set is intended for standard tuning A-D-G-C, a must-have format to keep familiar reference points when switching from acoustic to electric.

Intended Use and Target Musicians

This set is aimed at beginner to advanced cellists playing on an electric cello who want stable, clear, and comfortable strings. The Medium tension is suitable both for daily practice (studies, rehearsals) and stage contexts, where a consistent response is appreciated. Regarding styles, they adapt very well to pop, rock, jazz, contemporary music and any playing requiring clear articulation, without closing the door to expression and nuances.

Sound Characteristics

Thanks to their multi-strand steel core, these strings offer a clear sound with a warm foundation and good definition, particularly appreciated on electric cello where attack precision and note sustain are crucial. On an acoustic instrument, they produce a rather compact and clean tone, leaving room for right-hand nuances and vibrato variations, while maintaining solid projection and clarity.
