What D16 Antresol Is For
D16 Antresol is a flanger effect plugin designed to add depth, movement, and color to your tracks and buses. It excels on rock guitars (riffs, arpeggios, rhythms) as well as on melodic synths, pads, electric keyboards, drums (overheads, room), or vocals for bolder textures. Thanks to its "stomp box" DNA and modern mixing tools, Antresol covers a wide spectrum: from subtle stereo thickening to pronounced sweeping effects typical of vintage and psychedelic productions.Main Features
A BBD Emulation Designed Like a Real Circuit
The core of Antresol is based on a carefully crafted emulation of an analog BBD delay line (impulse-controlled, solid-state). This approach aims to reproduce the subtleties of analog behavior, including a degree of natural complexity, while maintaining reliable usability in production. The result: a flanger with a warm grain, capable of producing rich resonances and phase dips without harsh digital artifacts.Flexible Stereo: L/R or Mid/Side
Antresol offers an M/S mode (Mid/Side) in addition to L/R processing, allowing you to refine the stereo image musically. You can emphasize movement on the sides, stabilize the center of the mix, or sculpt the overall image with precision. The Channel X-Fade facilitates balancing between channels depending on the chosen mode.Advanced Modulation and Synchronization
The stereo LFO is fully controllable, with phase adjustment and host tempo synchronization. Antresol also allows you to unlink the stereo channels and adjust certain parameters independently for left and right (or Mid/Side), helping to create wide, animated, or intentionally asymmetric flangers that bring life to static sources.Mistress Mode: Instant Character
The Mistress mode enables Antresol to handle key mix and feedback settings to quickly achieve the distinctive sound associated with the classic flanger. Ideal for getting a "ready-to-record" tone on a guitar, pad, or effects bus, then fine-tuning with detailed controls.Studio Usability Comfort
To integrate easily into any setup, Antresol offers multiple interface sizes with HiDPI support, as well as MIDI Learn for quick parameter assignment to controllers (automation, performance, live or recording transitions).Technical specifications

Questions frequently asked
Is the D16 Group Antresol compatible with macOS and Windows?
Compatibility covers macOS 10.13 to macOS 14, as well as Windows 7 or later. On Mac, an Intel 2.0 GHz processor or Apple Silicon is required, with 2.3 GHz recommended for Intel. On Windows, a 2.0 GHz SSE processor is necessary, with 8 GB of RAM indicated.
Is Antresol suitable for rock guitars and synths?
The analog BBD delay line emulation provides a warm character to guitar riffs, melodic synths, pads, and electric keyboards, with pronounced resonances and phase notches.
How does the Mid/Side mode work on this flanger?
Switching between L/R or M/S allows separate processing of the center and sides of the stereo image. The Channel X-Fade control adjusts the balance between channels according to the selected mode.
Can the modulation be synced to the project tempo?
A stereo LFO synchronizable with the host tempo is integrated, with phase adjustment. Certain parameters can be independently set on the left and right channels, or in Mid/Side. MIDI Learn also allows control assignment to a MIDI controller.
Is the plugin available for download?
The software is downloadable. Multiple interface sizes with HiDPI support are offered.
