What is D16 Sigmund 2 for?

D16 Sigmund 2 is a multi-tap delay plugin designed for modern music production and sound design. It excels in both "classic" uses (clean echoes, tempo-synced delay, stereo widening) and creative treatments (complex repetition patterns, modulated textures, evolving ambiances). Whether you work in electronic, pop, hip-hop, techno, ambient, rock, or film music, Sigmund 2 helps you transform a simple source (vocals, synth, guitar, percussion) into a rich, animated, and deeply musical material.

Main Features

Four delay lines for total control

The core of Sigmund 2 is based on four distinct delay units, each with its own set of parameters. This "four-in-one" approach allows layering different timings, distributing energy across the stereo field, and creating interactions between repetitions to achieve dense and evolving delays. You can design very precise rhythmic responses or, conversely, organic echo clouds.

High-quality delay algorithm and precise timing

Thanks to a delay algorithm designed to remain clear and flexible, you can adjust delay times over a wide range, facilitating both sharp echoes and effects like chorus or flanger depending on the settings. The result: a unique tool capable of switching from a subtle mixing delay to a true effects machine.

Multipurpose modulators: from subtle movement to expressive effects

Sigmund 2 includes four versatile modulators, designed to quickly assign modulation to multiple parameters of one or several delay lines. This approach speeds up workflow: you create pitch, time, filter, or feedback dynamics variations in seconds to achieve lively repetitions, evolving pulses, or spectacular effects in performance.

9 routing modes for unprecedented delay architectures

Sigmund 2's great creative strength also comes from its internal routing. The four delay lines can be arranged in nine configurations, altering the signal flow between lines and producing very different echo signatures. This structural change, combined with modulation, allows creating patterns that transform and echo cascades impossible to achieve with a traditional delay.

Integrated modules per line: filter and overdrive

Each delay line has additional modules, including filter and overdrive, which operate independently of the feedback loop. This opens an ideal playground to control the color of repetitions, manage their presence in the mix, and push character (from subtle grit to creative saturation) without losing control over the overall delay behavior.

Interface designed for speed and clarity

The Sigmund 2 interface is designed to remain intuitive despite the engine's power. Sections are clearly organized with immediate access to essential parameters, promoting quick adjustments during mixing and deep exploration in sound design.
