Historical Context and Positioning in the Range
Darkglass has established itself as a benchmark for modern bass tones, notably thanks to its signature drive sounds and a very "production-ready" approach. The Infinity 500 fits into this philosophy: a performance-oriented combo that combines power, preset recall, and easy integration with a modern setup (studio, in-ear, DI, MIDI).
Depending on the version, the Infinity 500 is available in 2x10 or 1x12 configurations, allowing you to choose the right balance between projection, compactness, and low-end response.
Who This Amp Is For
The Infinity 500 targets the intermediate to professional bassist who wants a reliable rig, quick to dial in, and consistent from gig to gig. It's an excellent choice if you play to a click track, have frequent song changes, or need to instantly switch from a clean verse to a denser chorus.
It excels in rock, metal, prog, and modern music styles where the bass must remain clear in the mix, but it can also cover pop, funk, and fusion thanks to its power reserve, controlled dynamics, and built-in processing (compression, octave, EQ).
