A Darkglass x Amos Heller Collaboration, Heir to the Alpha Omicron
Designed with touring bassist Amos Heller, the Kaamos condenses Darkglass's sonic codes into a versatile and modern tool. Its distortion section captures the sharp and articulate spirit of the Alpha Omicron, while adding a deep octave and a rethought signal flow to meet the demands of today's stages and direct-to-console productions.Intended Use and Styles
Targeted at intermediate to professional bassists, the Kaamos covers a full set: clear reinforcement, edgy crunch, modern distortion, and controlled sub-basses. It excels in pop, rock, metal, modern country, worship, and any context where the bass needs to remain clear and powerful, from minimalist pedalboards to multi-amp rigs.Technical specifications

Questions frequently asked
Can the DARKGLASS Kaamos send a direct signal to a mixing console?
The balanced XLR output can function either as a Direct Out or with speaker cabinet emulation, selectable by pressing the Tone knob. A Ground Lift is provided to reduce noise caused by ground loops.
How to adjust the low octave on this pedal?
The octaver section features Clean Level, Octave Level, and Octave Filter controls. The low-pass filter adjusts the frequency of the lower octave, while pressing the Octave Level knob switches the routing between series and parallel.
What power supply is required for the Kaamos?
A 9 V DC power supply with center negative polarity is required, consuming 400 mA. A regulated power supply is recommended.
Can external effects be placed before or after the distortion?
The 1/4" Send/Return loop can be positioned at different points in the signal path using the push function of the Blend control. External effects can thus be placed before or after the distortion and octaver, with series or parallel configurations. An FX On/Off switch activates or bypasses the loop.
What are the dimensions and available outputs?
The unit measures 12.5 cm wide, 9.6 cm deep, and 5.7 cm high, weighing 450 g. Outputs include a 1/4" Output, a balanced XLR, a 1/4" FX Send, and a dedicated 1/4" Sub Out for the octave-only signal.
