A New Benchmark in the VORTEX Series: Performance in a Column Format
The Vortex 600 L1 is a new amplified column sound system from Definitive Audio's VORTEX series. Its approach is simple: to offer a compact, quick-to-deploy, and sufficiently versatile system to cover a wide range of uses, while maintaining a strong sonic presence thanks to an active subwoofer and two columns dedicated to mid/high frequencies.
Within the range, it positions itself as an "all-in-one" solution designed for those who want wide dispersion, a clean installation, and an easy-to-transport system without multiplying complex cabling elements.
Who and What For: DJs, Musicians, Vocals, Events, and Mobile Sound Reinforcement
The Vortex 600 L1 is aimed at DJs, musicians, singers, and artists who need a reliable system for rehearsals, performances, and events. It is also suitable for fixed applications (small rooms, multipurpose spaces) as well as mobile performances, thanks to its wheeled subwoofer and quick-assembly design.
The choice between 1.1 or 2.1 mode allows adapting the configuration to the context: a compact and direct setup, or wider dispersion with two columns and the subwoofer as support. Note: in 1.1 mode, connection is made via the patented system, whereas in 2.1 mode, the supplied satellite cables must be used.

What sound coverage do the L1 columns provide?
Each column features 6 drivers of 2.75 inches each, arranged with 3 facing right and 3 facing left. This setup provides approximately 180° horizontal coverage. The stated frequency response for the columns ranges from 155 Hz to 20 kHz.
