Denis Wick: A Signature Became Essential in Brass
Born from the experience of a musician facing the demands of the stage (projection, ease of response, control), the Denis Wick brand has established itself over a few decades as a global reference for brass accessories. The Classic range embodies this philosophy: offering a reliable mouthpiece, consistent from one piece to another, designed primarily to serve musicality.
For Which Musician and Repertoire?
This mouthpiece is suitable for players seeking a quick response and comfortable playing, from intermediate to advanced levels. Its "jazz and soft music " orientation makes it relevant for contexts where flexibility, articulation, and controlled sound are prioritized (combo, big band, pop, studio).
Tone and Design
The cup diameter (16 mm) influences the feeling of openness and stability, while the rim thickness (5.3 mm) contributes to comfort and endurance. The throat (3.66 mm), meaning the diameter of the passage to the backbore, affects resistance and ease of sound production. The gold-plated finish provides a softer touch on the lips and a premium aesthetic.
