Denis Wick Alliance Prestige - 2A Silver-Plated (Cornet)

Denis Wick and the Alliance Series: A Modern Benchmark for Brass Accessories

Founded by Denis Wick, a musician of the London Symphony Orchestra, the brand was born from a concrete need: to provide accessories capable of optimizing projection and resonance in demanding venues. In half a century, Denis Wick has become a global reference, supported by British artisanal expertise. Developed by Roger Webster, the Alliance mouthpieces, known since 2006, have evolved through collaboration with numerous artists to achieve a high level of precision and finish.

For Which Musicians and Playing Contexts

This mouthpiece is aimed at brass players seeking a reliable response and a denser sound, whether in orchestra, brass band, marching band, or ensemble. It is particularly suitable for intermediate to advanced musicians who wish to refine their tone, gain presence, and stabilize their sound production while maintaining a comfortable playing feel.

Sound and Design

The Alliance Prestige series stands out for its aesthetics and geometry that promote a full-bodied sound. The cup diameter (16.75 mm) contributes to the balance between roundness and precision, while the rim thickness (5 mm) provides stability and comfort, useful for maintaining pitch and endurance. The throat (4.3 mm) influences vibration freedom and resistance sensation: a good leverage point to work on projection, articulation, and register homogeneity.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

To protect and maintain your mouthpiece, you can opt for a hard case or protective pouch for mouthpieces, a mouthpiece cleaning brush, and a microfiber cloth (universal accessories, independent of the instrument model).
