A DiMarzio Humbucker Designed for Wide-Spaced Guitars

The DP270F Sonic Ecstasy Bridge "F-spaced" is aimed at guitarists who want a responsive and consistent bridge pickup for guitars with wider string spacing at the bridge. The "F-spaced" version helps properly align the pole pieces with the strings for even string-to-string response, resulting in a more balanced output and controlled dynamics, even with energetic playing.

For Which Styles and Guitarists?

Designed for the bridge position, this humbucker is particularly suitable for tight rhythms, articulate riffs, and leads that need to remain clear in a dense mix. If you play with high gain, tune down, or seek a sharp attack with solid sustain, this pickup is a relevant choice. It also adapts well to versatile setups thanks to its 4-conductor wiring, convenient for switching from full sound to clearer textures in split mode, depending on your selector and push-pull controls.

Sound Character and Design Details

The ceramic magnet delivers a sense of precision and control: the low end stays tight, the mids maintain structure, and the highs come through clearly without becoming harsh. The rated output of 420 mV provides a nice boost, useful for driving the amp's input stage or gaining impact on stage. Its cover with a patterned grille adds a distinctive aesthetic touch while protecting the pickup, perfect for a guitar with a refined look focused on performance.
