This directional headset microphone is intended for users who need controlled vocal capture while keeping their hands free: actors, singers, speakers, presenters, pastors, teachers, stage managers, and broadcast teams. Its directionality makes it particularly suitable for isolating the voice in busy environments (stage monitors, instruments, audience, reverberation) and enhancing feedback resistance.

It is also well suited for fixed installations and mobile performances: its "one size fits all" design and quick adjustments allow for seamless user changes and consistent positioning from session to session, a major advantage in theater, events, and conferences.

An open sound designed for voice

The 4488 CORE+ is engineered to deliver a natural and airy sound, faithfully reproducing diction and nuances. This approach is ideal for vocal applications and spoken or sung performances, avoiding the "boxed microphone" effect while maintaining excellent presence in the mix.

Off-axis rejection and ambient noise reduction

Thanks to its directionality, the microphone favors the voice and effectively attenuates distant sound sources. This helps maintain good intelligibility even when the environment becomes noisy and contributes to limiting feedback from monitors, instruments, or the room. In demanding live setups, this off-axis rejection is a direct ally against background noise and feedback.

Optimized bass for close use

The bass response is designed for optimal linearity at 2-3 cm from the sound source. In practice, this encourages a close and consistent placement, typical of professional headset microphones. At greater distances, bass attenuation becomes more pronounced, a useful behavior to better reject ambient noise and stabilize the system when gain must remain high.

Stage ergonomics: stability, adjustments, and discretion

The headset focuses on reliable fit and lasting comfort. The 3 points of attachment (above, below, and behind the ear) allow adjustment of stability according to morphology and context (movement, costume, glasses, in-ear monitors, etc.). The entire system is easily adjustable : frame size, microphone length, and placement to quickly find the ideal position and maintain consistent capture.

For visual integration, the adjustable 90 deg cable guide helps keep the cable out of sight. The non-reflective PVD surface applied to the headset frame, microphone, and capsule reduces reflections under stage lights and improves on-camera discretion, a key point in theater and broadcasting.
