A Julia at the Crossroads of Vintage and Duesenberg Innovation

The Julia features an aesthetic inspired by guitars from the 1950s and 60s, with confident elegance and meticulous details. Behind this timeless look, Duesenberg offers a modern approach to sound and ergonomics: chambered body, inventive electronics, and high-end finishes, making a guitar designed as much for the stage as for the studio.

For Whom and Which Styles

The Duesenberg Julia is aimed at intermediate to advanced guitarists seeking an inspiring instrument capable of covering a wide range of styles without losing personality. Thanks to the P90 + Split/King duo and chambered construction, it excels in rock, blues, indie, pop, country, and anything that demands both grit, dynamics, and expressive clean tones. The "direct out" mode is especially relevant for players who use guitar volume, pedals, and picking nuances.

The Sound

Its solid chambered mahogany body provides warmth, generous mids, and a more "alive" resonance sensation than a classic solid-body, while remaining precise. The flat maple top adds attack and definition, useful for clarity in both chords and leads. Regarding pickups, the Domino P90 at the neck delivers a full, open, and articulate sound, perfect for rich cleans and edgy crunches. At the bridge, the Split/King Dual-Coil goes beyond a traditional split: it offers a true single-coil character when desired, then a thicker, more driven voice in humbucker mode, with a dedicated switch. The Diamond Deluxe Tremolo completes the setup with smooth response for subtle or more pronounced variations, while maintaining good tuning stability.

  1. Gregory D.

Magnificent, level of finish rarely equalled for series guitars, except at Duesenberg.
Impeccable manufacturing, perfect finish, top-quality mechanics. Small downside for the Tune-o-matic bridge that I would have swapped for a rollerbridge given the presence of the Bigsby.
Top sound As a general rule, crunches are magical. Precision and accuracy are perfect right down to the last fret.
    A treat!
