Starplayer TV: Duesenberg's DNA, Between Tradition and Modernity
The Starplayer TV is one of the brand's most iconic models: a semi-hollow with an instantly recognizable look, designed to offer a true sonic personality while remaining versatile. This "Morello Flake" version emphasizes visual impact with a sparkling finish and matching headstock, while preserving the core of the range: meticulous craftsmanship, nickel-plated hardware, and premium details that exude high-end quality.
For Which Guitarists and Styles?
This guitar is primarily aimed at intermediate to advanced guitarists seeking an expressive, reliable, and inspiring electric guitar capable of moving seamlessly from one song to another without struggling with settings. Its semi-hollow format is perfectly suited to rock, blues, jazz, pop, indie, and americana genres: it responds finely to right-hand attack, accepts nuances, and maintains definition when increasing gain. The Tremola adds a real "phrasing" dimension for subtle vibratos, animated chords, and vintage accents.
The Sound
The semi-hollow body with sustain block offers a highly sought-after balance: more resonance and breathing than a solid body, while retaining the control and stability needed to play loud and precise. The laminated spruce top provides clarity and defined attack, while the laminated flamed maple back and sides enhance projection, brightness in the upper spectrum, and a beautiful note separation. The f-hole contributes to an organic, lively character, particularly flattering on clean and crunch tones.
Regarding pickups, the Domino P90 in the neck delivers a warm, full-bodied tone with rich grain, perfect for jazz, blues, and smooth melodic lines. At the bridge, the GrandVintage Humbucker adds more density and punch, with solid definition for riffs, leads, and rock rhythms. The 3-position selector also offers a very usable middle position thanks to special wiring that reduces some of the humbucker's bass: this produces a more open, edgy, and "funky" sound, ideal for crisp chords. The 1 volume, 1 tone control remains intentionally straightforward: fast, efficient, and musical.

Questions frequently asked
What styles can this semi-hollow guitar cover?
The semi-hollow construction with a sustain block provides resonance and control, with good clarity when gain is increased. This setup suits rock, blues, jazz, pop, indie, and americana genres.
Which pickups are mounted on the Duesenberg Starplayer TV Morello Flake?
A Duesenberg Domino P90 is installed at the neck, and a GrandVintage Humbucker at the bridge. The P90 delivers a warm, full tone, while the humbucker provides thickness and punch for riffs or leads.
Does the middle position offer a different sound?
The 3-way selector uses wiring that reduces some bass frequencies of the humbucker in the middle position. This configuration produces a more open and snappy response, suitable for articulate chord voicings.
What is the neck profile and scale length?
The neck features a Medium D profile, with a thickness of 21 mm at the 1st fret and 24 mm at the 12th fret. The 648 mm (25.5 inch) scale length is paired with an Indian rosewood fingerboard with a 305 mm (12 inch) radius. The 22 jumbo frets measure 2.8 x 1.0 mm.
Is the vibrato included and is a case supplied?
The guitar is equipped with a Duesenberg Sapphire Deluxe Tremola, featuring a Steel Saddle Bridge and Z-Tuners. A case is included.
