Sound Characteristics

Maple is a wood known for its balance: present but controlled lows, rich mids, and smooth highs, making the drum kit very adaptable in the mix. On the 22x18 bass drum, you generally get a solid low end with a good sense of impact, while the toms benefit from a round attack and a pleasant natural sustain.
