A New Model Enriching the AC Range

With the AC330E Black, this "New Model" embraces a decidedly high-end approach: choice of solid woods, traditional components (bone, ebony), and Truetone Gloss shiny finishes. The goal is clear: to offer an electro-acoustic guitar that retains an authentic and warm character while providing the comfort and reliability standards expected today, notably thanks to a reference electronics system by LR Baggs.

Who Is the AC330E Black For?

The AC330E Black is aimed at intermediate to advanced guitarists seeking an expressive acoustic capable of transitioning from delicate fingerstyle playing to energetic strumming without losing presence. Its wide nut (1 3/4" / 44.45 mm) provides ample space for right and left hands for fingerstyle, enriched chords, and arpeggio patterns. It is also well suited for folk, pop, americana, chanson, and vocal accompaniment styles, with excellent performance in amplified settings.

Sound Character and Craftsmanship: Solid Woods, Response, and Projection

The solid Sitka spruce top delivers clarity, precise attack, and a great dynamic range, ideal for nuanced playing with pick or fingers. The solid mahogany back and sides enhance the warmth of the midrange, with rounded lows and a softer high spectrum, helping the guitar remain clear in a mix or under vocals.
The Hand-Carved Scalloped X bracing promotes a more "lively" top: the guitar responds quickly, projects easily, and maintains natural sustain, particularly appreciated on held chords and melodic lines. On the amplification side, the LR Baggs Element VTC system is designed for an organic and usable concert sound: it preserves the instrument's tonal character while increasing presence and definition.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

To maintain the original feel and tension, you can stick with a Phosphor Bronze 12-53 gauge (like the factory-installed set: D'Addario XT .012 - .053, approximately 0.305 mm - 1.346 mm). For amplification, a standard 6.35 mm instrument jack cable is perfectly suited for use with acoustic amps, DI boxes, or audio interfaces.
