With its 16" body and "F" holes, the AR805 Classic follows the codes of historic jazz guitars: natural projection, clear attack, and refined aesthetics down to the details (7-ply ivoroid binding, pearloid logo, glossy finish). Its "no cutaway" design prioritizes acoustic balance and the warm character typical of archtops.

This guitar is primarily aimed at intermediate to advanced guitarists seeking a true "jazz" feel under the fingers: chord placement, walking bass lines, comping, chord-melody arrangements, as well as swing, blues, and ballads. The 25" / 635 mm scale length and 12-52 string gauge promote good tuning stability, intonation, and an expressive right hand, particularly appreciated when playing with a pick.

Sound

The solid spruce top offers nuance and responsiveness: it handles strong attacks while remaining sensitive to light dynamics, helping to "make the chords speak." The hand-carved solid maple back and sides enhance definition, clarity, and projection, with tight lows and precise highs. The combination of ebony fingerboard and adjustable ebony bridge supports articulation and note-to-note clarity, while the 16" format maintains an excellent balance between body size, comfort, and acoustic volume.

Recommended compatible accessories

To preserve the original feel, favor .012 - .052 gauge strings, identical to the factory-installed set (D'Addario NYXL .012 - .052). A microfiber cloth is also recommended to maintain the glossy finish and gold hardware after each session.
