Essential Information About the E25SS/v Antique Sunburst Guitar

  • Thermo-cured Adirondack solid top: a crisp attack, lots of dynamics, and a sound that opens up quickly.

  • Solid rosewood back and sides: deep lows, bright highs, and beautiful harmonic breadth.

  • Hand-carved scalloped X bracing: more projection, resonance, and generous sustain.

  • "Antique Varnish" finish: a more organic feel, quick response, and vintage Sunburst look.

A new vintage-inspired version: the "pre-war" spirit in a 16" format

Presented as a New Model, the E25SS/v Antique Sunburst embraces a decidedly traditional approach: solid woods, meticulous craftsmanship, and aesthetics inspired by great vintage acoustics. The choice of a thermo-cured Adirondack top and scalloped X bracing aims for a clear goal: to achieve a responsive, powerful guitar rich in harmonics, with a "played-in" character from the very first hours.

With its 16" body size, it maintains a solid low-end foundation while remaining balanced enough for both chord playing and picking. Its Antique Sunburst finish and mother-of-pearl details reinforce this positioning: a high-end acoustic with classic DNA, designed for musicians who want style... and above all, sound.

For which guitarists and styles? An expressive acoustic, from picking to strumming

Thanks to its quick response and wide dynamic range, the E25SS/v is especially suited for intermediate to advanced guitarists seeking an inspiring and nuanced acoustic. The Traditional Even "C" neck profile promotes a natural grip, while the 12" / 304.8 mm radius offers an excellent compromise between chord comfort and melodic precision.

Style-wise, it excels in folk, americana, country, and acoustic blues, but remains very convincing as pop accompaniment when pushing into strong strumming. The 1.75" / 44.45 mm nut width provides ample space for fingerstyle and complex voicings without making the guitar demanding.

Sound signature: Thermo-cured Adirondack + solid rosewood, power and harmonics

The thermo-cured Adirondack solid top is at the heart of the instrument's personality. Adirondack is renowned for its power reserve and ability to maintain clarity when played loudly. The thermal treatment (thermo-cured) often enhances the sense of responsiveness: more immediate attack, more musical natural compression, and a grain that evokes a well-broken-in guitar.

The solid rosewood back and sides complement this character with deep lows, bright highs, and a very flattering harmonic richness, ideal for arpeggios. Together, this wood pairing delivers a full and "3D" sound with beautiful note separation.

The craftsmanship further enhances this projection: the hand-carved scalloped X bracing promotes top vibration, thus volume and sound breathing. Add an ebony bridge and a bone saddle: you get efficient vibration transfer, solid sustain, and precise articulation, particularly enjoyable for fingerpicking.

Recommended compatible accessories

To stay as close as possible to the original feel, plan on a set of D'Addario XT Phosphor Bronze .012 - .053 strings (same gauge and alloy as the factory setup). A set of picks (various thicknesses) is also a safe choice to explore the Adirondack's dynamics, from light picking to firmer strumming.
