The sound

The two Lollar Dogear P90s deliver an open and textured sound: thicker and grittier than a single coil, yet more airy and biting than a humbucker. The neck pickup offers round and singing lows, very expressive in jazz-blues and arpeggios; the bridge pickup provides attack and sharpness, ideal for snapping riffs and leads that cut through the mix. The electronics (Switchcraft 3-position selector, CTS 250K AudioTaper potentiometers, Gavitt braided wiring) favor a progressive response to volume/tone adjustments, allowing a transition from detailed clean to organic crunch without losing nuance. The Bigsby B7 and Gotoh bridge complete the setup with controlled sustain and beautiful musicality on modulations.

Recommended compatible accessories

To stay as close as possible to the original setup, favor a set of strings with a gauge of 11-49 (like the factory-installed set). A standard strap is suitable, and the guitar comes with a hard case for transport and protection.
