Important: Hollywood Fantasy Orchestrator is not a standalone product. It uses the instruments from the 5 parts of the Hollywood Fantasy Orchestra collection and requires either perpetual licenses for each of the libraries, or a Fantasy Orchestra bundle license, or a license via ComposerCloud+ subscription. Note: Hollywood Fantasy Orchestrator is a distinct product from Hollywood Orchestrator. They share many features but each works only with its dedicated library collection.
What Hollywood Fantasy Orchestrator Is For
Hollywood Fantasy Orchestrator is designed to speed up the writing and orchestration of film, series, and video game music oriented towards fantasy. From your MIDI input, it builds coherent arrangements (rhythmic tension, themes, accompaniments, orchestral layers) while letting you shape the expression live. It's an ideal tool for composing quickly without sacrificing orchestral color, whether to start a sketch or deliver a full production under tight deadlines.
Main Features
Playable and customizable presets
The interface offers several preset categories to start immediately, then refine according to your musical intention. You can store your creations in the "User" section by adapting an existing preset or building your ensembles from scratch.
Ensemble, Ostinato, and Score: three composition approaches
The Ensemble category groups ready-to-play instrument combinations to quickly achieve a rich orchestration (strings, brass, winds, percussion, tutti). Ostinato is used to create pulses and motifs (varied durations, multiple time signatures) by changing only a few notes, perfect for tension and movement. Score provides classical fantasy-style orchestrations, designed as a source of inspiration with many variations, including measure alternatives.
Voices: a choral dimension serving the epic
A Voices section is added to the orchestral families to enrich your climaxes: solo voice (Merethe Soltvedt) and male and female choirs bring a majestic, bright, or mysterious character depending on your settings and harmony.
Scoring Engine and integrated mixing
The Scoring Engine is the heart of the workflow: you can edit patterns via step sequencers, replace instruments, and rebalance doublings to adapt the arrangement to your theme. The Mixer section finalizes the soundstage with level, pan, equalization, and reverb settings (presets, sends, and advanced parameters).
