StormDrum 3 is a virtual percussion instrument designed to create spectacular rhythms, massive impacts, tribal textures, and modern orchestral ensembles. It is aimed at composers and producers working with visuals, epic music, and sound design who want to quickly move from a rhythmic idea to a final mix-ready result. Thanks to tempo-synced performances and multiple microphones, you can go from an organic, lively groove to a more aggressive and cinematic sonic signature.

An Exceptional Percussion Collection
The library highlights carefully selected instruments, notably from Mickey Hart's private collection, with additions from the Remo collection, personally chosen by Remo. The sessions were performed by renowned percussionists for credible, precise, and expressive playing, suited to modern productions.
Tempo-Synced Performances and Microphone Control
StormDrum 3 includes tempo-synced percussion performances, directed and played by Mickey Hart with contributions from Greg Ellis, Chalo Eduardo, and Nick Phoenix. Each instrument features 5 adjustable microphone positions, allowing you to balance proximity, room size, and depth to build a custom mix.
Integrated Sound Processing for Mixing and Sound Design
The built-in FX section combines essential SSL tools (EQ, dynamics, transient, bus compressor) with an enhanced EastWest "true stereo" reverb. To go further, EastWest adds an Amp Simulator and Ohm Force Ohmicide (multiband distortion), enabling you to transform acoustic percussion into hybrid, saturated, or ultra-percussive textures ideal for film and video games.
