This electric bass pack for beginners is primarily intended for musicians looking for their first complete setup. The clip-on tuner helps you develop good habits from the outset, while the strap lets you discover playing while standing. The three picks also provide an opportunity to compare pick attack with fingerstyle playing, two complementary approaches for developing your touch.

The two-pickup configuration is suitable for learning rock, pop, blues, funk or more understated accompaniment lines. The 3 W mini amplifier is intended for personal sessions at moderate volume; it does not replace a rehearsal amplifier when playing alongside an acoustic drum kit. Its rechargeable battery and Bluetooth function provide flexibility for everyday use at home.

Two J-style pickups to find your place in the mix

The JB 100's sonic personality is primarily built around its two J-style single-coil pickups. The pickup positioned near the neck produces a rounder response, suited to accompaniment parts that require a solid foundation. The one positioned towards the bridge delivers a more defined attack and a more incisive character. By adjusting their respective volumes, you can emphasize one of the two or seek a balance between depth and precision.

The passive electronics combine two volume controls and a master tone control. The pickups are blended using their volume controls, without the need to operate a selector switch. The tone control lets you attenuate the highs, moving from a more pronounced attack to a softer color. This layout makes it easier to understand the settings and encourages you to listen to their effect on the same bass line.

The poplar body, maple neck and laurel key form the foundation of the instrument's construction. On an electric bass, the amplified result also depends heavily on the pickups, strings, setup and touch: the tonewoods alone do not determine the sound. The bolt-on neck and four-saddle bridge complete a classic construction, whose setup contributes to accurate intonation, comfort and consistent notes.
