A "Type S" Designed to Make the Electric Guitar Accessible
Inspired by the shapes that have shaped the history of the electric guitar since the 1950s, the ST100 adopts a silhouette that has become a reference: welcoming curves, double cutaway, and three single-coil electronics. Within the Eko range, it positions itself as an affordable and versatile electric guitar, designed to offer a simple, reliable, and motivating playing experience from the very first chords. For Whom, and for Which Styles?
The Eko ST100 is primarily aimed at beginners (and returning guitarists) who want a versatile first electric guitar, easy to play and capable of covering several styles. It feels at home in pop, rock, blues, funk, and indie thanks to its dynamic clean sounds and precise crunches, while still being able to move towards more biting distortions with a suitable amp.The Sound
With its poplar body, the ST100 offers a balanced, responsive sound, pleasant for working on right-hand attack. The maple neck brings definition and "snap," while the laurel fingerboard helps slightly round off the overall tone to keep a softer and more homogeneous sound. The 3 single-coil pickups prioritize precision and dynamics: perfect for clear arpeggios, funky rhythms, and expressive leads. The 5-position selector switch allows switching between bright sounds (neck, middle, bridge pickups) and more scooped and velvety intermediate positions, very useful for varying colors without adjusting the amp. The vibrato adds an expressive dimension (vibratos, slight dives) while maintaining the possibility of fine-tuning each saddle.Technical specifications
