A modern light gauge to stay precise, even on 7 strings
With the Elixir Optiweb 19057 in Light 10-56 gauge, you benefit from an ideal balance between playing comfort and tuning stability. The OPTIWEB coating allows the string to vibrate more freely while maintaining firm control for your bends and vibratos, and better-managed sustain. Unlike many coatings that significantly alter the feel, OPTIWEB aims for a familiar sensation while protecting the string along its entire length, including between the windings where dirt often accumulates and eventually mutes the sound. The result: fewer string changes, more playing time, whether you play rock, metal, or extended tunings.
