The VELA MV2 draws on the visual design of vintage audio equipment: dark wood finishing, easy-to-access controls and a Black platter contrasting with the brown felt mat. Behind its retro presentation, the MV2 combines the traditional features of a hi-fi turntable with more recent connectivity options. The built-in preamp makes it easy to connect, while the USB port lets you extend your listening beyond the physical medium by creating a digital copy of your vinyl records.

This turntable is aimed at vinyl enthusiasts who want to listen to their albums at 33 1/3 or 45 rpm without giving up a versatile setup. The speed selector lets you switch from one format to the other, while the included 45 rpm adapter is designed for records that require it. The start, stop and Bluetooth activation controls are grouped around the essential functions.

Its switchable output is an advantage if your system evolves. You can use the line level to connect to a compatible input on an amplifier, or select the phono level if you already have an external phono preamp or one built into your amplifier. Simply make sure the selector position matches the input being used.

Belt drive, Ortofon cartridge and convenient connections

An adjustable playback system

The VELA MV2 features a belt drive and a 280 mm steel platter. It is fitted with an Ortofon OM 5E cartridge and a 218.5 mm tonearm. The included counterweight and tracking force adjustment allow you to set up the assembly before listening, while following the recommendations specific to the installed cartridge.

The anti-skating function helps balance the forces exerted on the tonearm during playback. These adjustments require particular attention during the initial setup, as they contribute to proper groove tracking. The included felt mat is placed on the platter to support the record.

From vinyl to your digital library

The USB port dedicated to digitization lets you keep a digital version of your records using compatible equipment and software. The USB cable is included. The Bluetooth reception function also allows you to connect a phone or tablet, letting you switch between your vinyl collection and your digital content.
