A PRO-1 designed for learning, in a 3/4 version

Since the launch of the PRO-1 series, Epiphone has aimed to remove the most common obstacles for beginners: left-hand fatigue, a hard feel under the fingers, and lack of tuning precision. The PRO-1 Classic 3/4 carries this "easy-to-play" philosophy into a more compact format, without sacrificing the sonic identity of a classical guitar. The result: a nylon-string guitar that retains a true acoustic personality while making first positions, chord changes, and small melodies more accessible.

For whom, and for which styles?

This Epiphone is primarily aimed at beginners (adults and children alike) who want to start on a comfortable 3/4 classical guitar, as well as intermediate guitarists looking for a smaller instrument to practice, travel, or play at home. The 3/4 size and reduced depth body help quickly find a natural posture, especially if you have a small build or want a guitar that feels more "close to the body."

Regarding repertoire, it is based on a versatile classical foundation: studies and traditional pieces, arpeggio accompaniment, bossa and soft pop, light fingerpicking, and anything that benefits from the nylon touch (less aggressive attack, comfort under the fingers). It is also an excellent choice for improving right/left hand precision, chord cleanliness, and tempo consistency.

A warm tone: cedar and mahogany serving projection

The selected cedar top gives this PRO-1 Classic 3/4 a quick response and a naturally "singing" grain. Cedar is prized for its ability to produce a rich sound from the first notes, with clear highs and a roundness that highlights arpeggios and melodies. Epiphone pairs this with a Custom PRO-Prietary bracing designed to let the top vibrate freely and promote balance: you get present bass without excess, and enough definition to distinguish each string.

The selected mahogany back and sides (as well as the neck) enhance overall warmth and provide stable support for the top's vibrations. Mahogany is often sought for its consistency: it helps maintain a homogeneous sound across the entire range, with a pleasant midrange that "carries" chords well. Add to this a 3/4 size with reduced body depth: comfort is immediate, and the guitar remains very responsive, perfect for hearing your progress and gaining dynamic control.

Finally, the PRO-1 DNA is found in the player-oriented details: the EZ-Profile "D" neck aims for intuitive handling, the JumboPRO frets facilitate pressing (a more solid feel under the finger), and the PRO-Ease treatments (on strings and fingerboard) contribute to smoother gliding, useful when chaining chords and shifts.

Recommended compatible accessories

To complement your PRO-1 Classic 3/4 with ease, you can pair it with a tuner (clip-on or pedal), a footrest for classical posture, a guitar stand, and a metronome for regular practice. These accessories suit any size and immediately improve comfort and progress.
