A modern classical in the spirit of the PRO collection
The Classical E1 adopts Epiphone's beloved "easy-to-play" approach, featuring innovations from the PRO collection to make the classical guitar more accessible and comfortable. This model was previously marketed as the PRO-1 Classic and maintains the same philosophy: a true 4/4 classical guitar optimized to inspire daily playing.
Who is it for, and in which styles?
This classical guitar is primarily aimed at beginners and intermediate guitarists seeking a reassuring instrument that is easy to handle and pleasant to play over time. It is perfectly suited for classical, variety, ballads, and accompaniment in arpeggios, with playability that helps overcome early challenges (chord positions, barre chords, right-hand technique).
The sound
The selected cedar top delivers a naturally warm and responsive tone, appreciated for the softness of attacks and richness in the midrange, ideal for fingerstyle playing. The selected mahogany body enhances overall balance with a homogeneous sound base and good support in the low mids. The custom " PRO-Prietary " bracing contributes to stable projection and consistent response, while the reduced body depth prioritizes comfort without sacrificing the essentials: a clear classical voice, conducive to learning and accompaniment playing.
Recommended compatible accessories
For safe transport, the Epiphone Classical 4/4-Size 940-XCGIG gig bag (sold separately) is the most coherent choice. To maintain the original feel, consider a set of Epiphone Ultra-Light Classical (.028-.042) strings.
