A Les Paul Tribute with a Direct, No-Nonsense Character
The Les Paul Tribute Ebony revisits the fundamentals that have made the Les Paul format an essential reference among electric guitars: a massive-looking single-cutaway body, a set neck and a construction geared towards rich mids and note length. Its Ebony finishing enhances its understated, elegant and resolutely rock identity.
This version focuses on an efficient configuration, without visual overload or complex electronics. It is aimed at guitarists looking for the familiar ergonomics of a Les Paul and an immediately usable tonal palette, from thick clean sounds to bold overdrive and distortion. The Urite Dot inlays complete this pared-back, functional aesthetic.
An Electric Guitar for Rock, Blues and High-Gain Sounds
The Les Paul Tribute Ebony is equally suited to beginner guitarists already drawn to rock tones and intermediate musicians looking for a versatile instrument for rehearsing, recording or performing on stage. Its 60s SlimTaper Rounded C neck offers an interesting balance between slimness and a secure feel in the hand.
Its two ceramic humbuckers are particularly well suited to classic rock, hard rock, punk, electric blues and alternative styles. They retain a strong presence with overdrive or distortion, while the two volume controls and two tone controls make it possible to rein things in. The laurel key provides a comfortable surface for chords, hard-hitting riffs and lead lines.
Ceramic Humbuckers for a Powerful, Precise and Generous Sound
The combination of a mahogany body and a neck made from the same tonewood gives this guitar a round, dense tonal foundation focused in the midrange. Mahogany is particularly valued on electric guitars for its ability to sustain notes and add substance to distorted chords. It promotes a natural sustain that is especially appreciated during solos and bends.
In the neck position, the Epiphone 650R Ceramic Humbucker pickup delivers thick, enveloping tones. It is well suited to blues rhythms, warm arpeggios, singing melodic lines and rounder solos. The tone control can soften the attack when a more mellow register is desired.
The Epiphone 700T Ceramic Humbucker bridge pickup provides more bite, precision and presence. It is well suited to incisive riffs, powerful chords and lead parts that need to cut through a dense mix. The dual-coil design also helps reduce the noise usually associated with single-coil pickups, which is particularly useful with high gain.
The two volume controls and two tone controls allow each pickup to be adjusted individually. This configuration makes it easy to switch from a more restrained rhythm sound to a more open solo tone simply by adjusting the guitar's controls. The LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and Stop Bar tailpiece also contribute to direct vibration transfer to the body, with a crisp attack and good overall stability.
