The Comfort of Flatwound, with More Attack and Clarity
The Ernie Ball Flatwound Super Slinky 2814 in 45-100 are designed for musicians who want the smooth and consistent feel of flatwound strings while maintaining a more contemporary sonic signature. Undoubtedly good strings in their category. A shipment within a time frame that I welcome. However, definitely not to be taken for fans of vintage or more modern âflatwoundâ sounds. They are basically roundwound strings whose only touch is softened!â
