An M-II Built for the Stage in the E-II Series

The E-II M-II HST QM is an electric guitar designed for performance: ergonomics oriented towards "shred," craftsmanship aimed at stability, and deliberately straightforward electronics. The M-II format targets guitarists who want an immediate grip, comfortable access to the upper frets, and a modern aesthetic without compromising efficiency in band or studio settings.

For Which Guitarists and Styles?

This E-II is primarily aimed at intermediate to advanced guitarists seeking a highly responsive guitar with a fast neck and a versatile pickup configuration clearly geared towards heavy tones. It excels in modern metal, hard rock, prog, djent, and all music styles requiring excellent clarity under distortion, including lower tunings.

The Sound

The combination of a mahogany body and a quilted maple top provides an effective balance: mahogany supports the mids and sustain, while maple adds attack and precision in the high spectrum. The set maple neck combined with a maple fingerboard further enhances immediate response and clarity, particularly appreciated on palm mutes and fast passages.

On the electronics side, the two Bare Knuckle Aftermath Tyger pickups deliver a tight, defined, and percussive sound, ideal for keeping lows clean and chords clear under heavy distortion. The Volume and Tone controls along with the 3-position selector switch focus on essentials: quick switching between massive bridge rhythm, rounder neck tones, and a combination of both to broaden the spectrum. The Hipshot Tremolo allows adding expressive inflections without sacrificing playing stability.
