Questions frequently asked
Is the Evans RF12D pad compatible with a snare drum stand?
Its 12-inch diameter makes it compatible with most snare drum stands.
What is the difference in rebound between the two sides of the pad?
The natural rubber side provides a sharp attack with a lively rebound. The softer side softens the response and reduces the perceived volume.
Can rudiments be practiced on a 12-inch pad?
The 12-inch size offers a stable surface and ergonomics suited for hand technique. The natural rubber side promotes precision in rudiments. Switching between the two sides allows adjustment of resistance depending on the exercise.
Is this practice pad silent?
The softer side reduces the perceived volume, allowing for quieter practice.
For which drummer skill levels is this double-sided pad suitable?
This model is designed for beginner, intermediate, and advanced drummers. It can be used for warm-ups, technical strengthening, or hand routine exercises.
