What Blackhole Immersive Is For
Blackhole Immersive is a reverb plugin designed to create three-dimensional spaces in immersive and surround productions (Dolby Atmos, multichannel, etc.). It is suited for both music mixing and post-production (film, series) as well as sound design (video games). Its goal is simple: to enable you to decide what the listener feels, when, and where in the space, while respecting the placement of your sources within the surround field.
Main Features
A controlled "cosmic" reverb, from natural to extreme
The core of Blackhole Immersive relies on a reverb algorithm that is both powerful and flexible. It covers a very wide range: from small realistic ambiances, subtle halos around a voice, up to immense decays and extended pads ideal for creating tension, scale, or unreal atmospheres. In creative use, you can achieve tails that become a musical element in their own right, perfect for electro, ambient, music for visuals, or transition effects.
Optimized immersive workflow: consistent across all configurations
Designed "from the ground up" for immersion, the interface is clear and intuitive in a multichannel context. The main controls remain identical regardless of the layout, allowing you to keep good habits and work quickly, whether mixing surround for a film, streaming content, or a game.
Spatial sculpting: levels, zone equalization, and Crossfeed
Blackhole Immersive provides real tools to shape the reverb around the listener. Quickly adjust the levels of each speaker via the Levels section, then refine the tone with separate equalization for Front, Top, and Rear speakers. Finally, the Crossfeed function helps to "spread" a source (even mono) by intelligently blending it between speakers, achieving an immersive rendering in one step without losing placement clarity.
Sound design and automation: Morph, Freeze, and radical controls
For dynamic productions, the Morph function allows smooth transitions between two distinct settings, ideal for transitions, risers, or space changes synchronized with visuals. The Freeze, Kill Dry, and Kill Wet controls open the door to sharp effects: capturing material, suspensions, breaks, and massive textures to dress a key moment without stacking multiple plugins.
Everyday productivity: Mix Lock, presets, and comparison tools
In sessions, Mix Lock maintains your wet/dry balance while exploring presets or adjusting parameters, useful for consistent gain staging. The interface is resizable and offers Undo/Redo as well as A/B comparison for quick validation of choices. The library includes over 150 presets, helpful both for fast starts and learning the plugin's character in various contexts.

Questions frequently asked
Is Blackhole Immersive compatible with macOS and Windows?
Compatibility covers macOS 10.14 or later, on Intel and Apple Silicon processors. Windows 10 or later is also supported.
Does this reverb work in Dolby Atmos and surround?
The processing is designed for immersive and multichannel productions, including Dolby Atmos setups. The spatial image of incoming sources is preserved across different immersive formats.
Can the reverb be adjusted separately on the front, top, and rear speakers?
The Levels and EQ sections allow adjustment of reverb levels and tone by zones: Front, Top, and Rear.
How to create reverb transitions for sound design?
The Morph function ensures a smooth transition between two settings. Freeze captures and holds a reverberated sound. Kill Dry and Kill Wet are used to create breaks or isolated textures.
How many presets are included and what is Mix Lock for?
More than 150 presets are included. Mix Lock maintains the wet/dry balance during preset changes or parameter adjustments.
