An Accessory That Has Become a Rock Guitar Classic
Adopted on Eddie Van Halen's guitars and installed as standard on some locking tremolo guitars since the early 1990s, the D-Tuna has become a cult solution for seamlessly switching between riffs, choruses, and breaks in Drop D without changing instruments. It's the perfect tool to maintain the energy of a live set or to save valuable time in the studio.
Change Tuning Without Breaking the Rhythm
The concept is as simple as it is effective: once the D-Tuna is installed and adjusted, you slide the mechanism to switch from E to D, then slide it back to return to standard tuning. The result: you can alternate between heavy rhythm, power chords, and standard tuning licks while keeping the same feel and the same guitar.
