Summary of This Method

This volume continues a progression designed to guide the violin student step by step. Intended for musicians already familiar with the first and third position, it offers a carefully selected repertoire to enrich musicality while consolidating technique. The goal is clear: to go beyond simple placement reflexes and lead the student to make the instrument sing naturally.

The collection highlights a wide variety of European music from three centuries. It includes pieces of sometimes overlooked beauty by composers such as Handel and Leopold Mozart, as well as other selections chosen for their musical and pedagogical value. This diversity of styles helps the student develop listening skills, phrase comprehension, and greater sensitivity to character.

Special attention is given to melodic pieces requiring continuous legato and a stable line. This work introduces and strengthens the cantabile, a fundamental component of violin playing: bow control, sound quality, continuity between notes, phrase breathing, and musical intention. At this stage, the method becomes a valuable tool to connect technique and expression, and to build a more refined interpretation.
