A More Lively Analog Sound

The Twin 3 engine focuses on musical rendering, with an improved sound quality of oscillators and filters. The addition of a modeled analog drift introduces a slight controlled instability, ideal for thickening a sustained note, adding movement to a chord, or avoiding the "too perfect" feel of some digital syntheses.

4 Oscillators and Up to 64 Voices for Massive Stacks

With a fourth oscillator and a maximum of 64 voices, Twin 3 gains in density and breadth, perfect for stacks, wide unisons, and harmonized pads. The per-oscillator polyphony mode introduces a creative approach where each note can trigger a different oscillator, opening the door to "rotating" timbres, automatic color variations, and more organic harmonic patterns.

Filters with Strong Character and Vintage EQ-Style Shapes

The filtering section has been enhanced with new filters, reaching a total of four types available. For each included filter style, Twin 3 adds shapes inspired by vintage EQ sounds: bell, shelf, and notch. Here, the goal is not a "clinical" curve: the internal saturation and nonlinearities provide a more expressive response, with resonances and color that stand out from classic, very clean EQs.

Modulation and Workflow: Everything Designed for Speed

The interface has been completely redesigned to speed up creation: modulation sources with a new design, floating slot panel, and dedicated effects panels. The result: you can more easily visualize routings, adjust modulation depths faster, and build evolving sounds without getting lost in menus. It is a particularly efficient tool for adding movement to a patch (subtle tremolos, rhythmic sweeps, filter and amplitude variations) while maintaining a clear patch overview.

Extended Effects Section to Finalize the Sound Within the Plug-in

FabFilter Twin 3 integrates an extended effects section designed as a true production finishing tool: you can sculpt, thicken, and spatialize directly inside the instrument.
