Ventis 206: a passive speaker from the Ventis range, designed for installation and sound reinforcement
The FBT Ventis 206 embodies the spirit of the Ventis series: offering a robust, coherent, and high-performance passive speaker intended for demanding environments. Its slim format and birch construction facilitate integration in venues seeking to balance visual discretion and sound efficiency, while maintaining a practical "field" approach suitable for both live events and fixed installations.
Intended Uses? Live sound reinforcement, monitors, fixed installations
Thanks to its size and directivity, the Ventis 206 is particularly suitable for music bars, multipurpose rooms, places of worship, conferences, as well as mobile events requiring a lightweight and quick-to-deploy speaker. It can serve as a nearfield main speaker, reinforcement, or monitor depending on the configuration, especially when clear vocal reproduction and good intelligibility are desired.
Acoustic design: precision, directivity, and integration
2-way configuration with dual woofers
The Ventis 206 is based on a 2-way architecture with 2 x 165 mm drivers (38 mm voice coil) for low-mid frequencies, paired with a 25 mm tweeter (35 mm voice coil). This choice promotes articulated reproduction in the critical vocal and instrumental range while maintaining a compact format and good power handling.
Rotatable horn: optimal coverage regardless of orientation
With a dispersion of 70deg horizontal x 50deg vertical and a rotatable horn, the speaker can be deployed according to mounting (wall, stand, vertical or horizontal orientation) to maintain consistent audience coverage. This is a real advantage for installations where the coverage angle must be optimized without changing the model.
Amplification and filtering management: unleash the full potential
This passive speaker operates at 8 ohms and accepts a power of 200 W RMS (up to 800 W peak ). For dynamic and clean results, a 400 W RMS recommended amplifier provides headroom without pushing the system to its limits. FBT also recommends a 60 Hz high-pass filter (12 to 24 dB/oct) to protect excursion in the bass, especially at high levels or when used with a subwoofer. An external filter is recommended: the FBT DLM26.
Speakon connectivity: reliable in professional environments
Input is via 2 speakon connectors, a solid standard for passive systems, convenient for daisy-chaining and reliable in both live events and installations.

Questions frequently asked
What amplification is recommended for the FBT Ventis 206?
A 400 W RMS amplifier is recommended for this passive 8-ohm speaker, rated at 200 W RMS and 800 W peak. A high-pass filter at 60 Hz with a slope of 12 to 24 dB/octave is advised.
Is the Ventis 206 suitable for wall mounting?
M10 inserts allow for installation mounting. An adjustable VN-U206 bracket, sold separately, is designed for this setup.
What is the dispersion pattern of this FBT speaker?
The rotatable horn provides coverage of 70° horizontally and 50° vertically. This configuration allows adjustment of the sound dispersion orientation according to vertical or horizontal mounting.
What drivers are equipped in the Ventis 206?
This two-way design combines two 165 mm woofers with a 25 mm tweeter, with a crossover frequency set at 2 kHz.
What connections are available on the speaker?
Two speakON connectors handle input and signal daisy-chaining. This connectivity corresponds to external amplification setups for passive speakers. The external FBT DLM26 filter is recommended.
