Historical Context and Positioning in the Lineup

The '65 Princeton Reverb follows the tradition of Fender's mid-60s "blackface" combos, renowned for their crystalline cleans and musicality as the amp begins to compress. This modern version captures the classic Fender spirit and aesthetics, with meticulous craftsmanship and component choices aimed at authentic vintage tone.

Who This Amp Is For

This combo is perfect for guitarists seeking a timeless Fender sound without moving to a more powerful amp. It suits both discerning amateurs and professionals: home playing (great response at low volume), studio (easy recording, superb reverb), and stage (12W ideal for clubs, especially with mic reinforcement). It excels in blues, surf, country, indie, pop, funk, and vintage rock, and loves pedals (overdrive, fuzz, boost, delay).

A fantastic amp for the home, even at low volume (2) it sounds wonderful, round, warm, reacts very well to pick sounds, wonderful treble and amazing bass for a 10\” HP. A bit of breath on the reverb above 3, reverb that is fantastic with incredible depth, remarkable tremolo too. (I think it's better than the deluxe reverb vibrato channel).
Les Paul, Stratocaster, Telecaster everything works great on this amp, I just use a TS9 as an effect for a light overdrive, and it's perfect.
Last point to highlight, not too much noise for a vintage amp.
Fast shipping from Woodbrass, great service.

Excellent amp, a very warm, round and brilliant vintage sound... All with spring reverb and vibrato... Love it!!!
Perfect for recording and rehearsals or even small rooms...
However, it is still only moderately powerful, so deluxe reverb would be more appropriate if you want to have a more comfortable amp for playing with a drummer and performing on stage.
