Born from the legacy of Fender acoustics designed around the 1960s with Roger Rossmeisl, the California Vintage King pays tribute to iconic lines (angled headstock with six inline tuners, retro aesthetics) while adopting modern luthiery. It stands as a modern alternative within the California Vintage range, combining vintage looks with 21st-century performance.

Designed for intermediate to advanced guitarists, this dreadnought excels in energetic strumming, folk/rock, country, and pop, while remaining nuanced in fingerstyle thanks to the solid ovangkol. Its discreet and reliable preamp makes it an ideal partner for stage, amplified rehearsals, and recording.

Sound

The solid Sitka spruce top ensures attack and clarity, while the solid ovangkol delivers a broad spectrum, close to rosewood, with detailed highs and deep lows. The Performance-X bracing promotes projection and tonal stability. The 25.5" / 648 mm scale length and bone nuts provide sustain and harmonic richness. Plugged in, the piezo + body sensor blend reproduces a natural and balanced sound, easily adjustable via the controls in the soundhole.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

A set of phosphor bronze strings .012-.052 (Fender 60L) to maintain original tension and tone, steel-string acoustic capo (16" radius), soundhole humidifier to protect solid woods, clip-on tuner, and acoustic strap (lace attachment possible at the headstock if needed). The vintage-style hard case is included.
