A Modern Evolution Designed by a Fender Sound Expert
Configured by expert Tim Shaw, the Cobalt Chrome pickups are designed to unleash the full potential of your Jazz Bass: immediate transparency, growling mids, and a more responsive feel under the fingers. The choice of the FeCrCo alloy provides a unique sonic identity, full of character, ideal for adding depth to your playing without losing the Jazz Bass DNA.
For Which Bassists and Styles?
This set is aimed at bassists seeking an expressive and versatile upgrade : snapping funk, cutting rock, modern pop, percussive slap, or well-defined pick lines. The generous dynamic range highlights right-hand/left-hand nuances, while the high definition helps your bass cut through a mix, both in the studio and on stage.
FeCrCo Magnets, Chrome Shielding, and Fine Adjustments: Control at the Service of Groove
With their Cobalt Chrome magnets and adjustable threaded pole pieces, these single coils allow you to fine-tune volume balance between strings and between neck/bridge positions. The nylon coils and Formvar winding contribute to an ultra-bright and precise sound. The pickups are paraffin wax potted to enhance stability and reduce microphonic behavior, while the chrome housing adds shielding to reduce ground loops and unwanted noise. Installation hardware is included for direct integration onto your Jazz Bass.
