An Icon of the Sixties in the Vintera II Line
Designed to recreate the spirit of the first Jazz Basses launched in the early 60s, the Vintera II adopts the luthiery and electronics choices that have defined decades of recordings. Within the Fender range, Vintera II embodies fidelity to historical specifications, with just enough modern comfort for contemporary playability.
Who Is It For and Which Styles?
Ideal for intermediate to professional bassists seeking a versatile and responsive tone. Perfect for funk, soul, rock, pop, jazz, and indie: the slim 1.5" / 38.1 mm neck facilitates fast lines and slap playing, while the vintage radius fingerboard offers natural control for sustained notes and fingerstyle playing.
The Sound
The two "Vintage-Style '60s" single-coil pickups deliver the iconic Fender tone: woody warmth, singing mids, and a precise "growl" at the bridge. The Volume 1 (middle pickup) + Volume 2 (main pickup) + Tone layout allows for a range from a round, full sound (neck pickup) to a sharper, more articulate attack (bridge pickup), with a central blend that reduces hum and maximizes definition. The alder/maple/rosewood combination and the long 34" / 863.6 mm scale length ensure projection, sustain, and clarity across the entire spectrum.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
The bass comes with a Deluxe gig bag. For maintenance and consistent tone, choose 34" long scale bass strings with a .045-.105 gauge (such as the included Fender 7250M). Add a standard strap and a bass stand to secure the instrument at home or on stage.

Questions frequently asked
What styles can this Jazz Bass Vintera II 60s cover?
This bass is suitable for funk, soul, rock, pop, jazz, and indie. Its two Vintage-Style ’60s Single-Coil Jazz Bass pickups allow tonal variation through their independent volume controls.
Is the neck suitable for slap and fast lines?
The nut width is 38.1 mm (1.5"), a typical Jazz Bass profile width that favors left-hand mobility. The maple neck features a rosewood fingerboard with a vintage 184.1 mm (7.25") radius. The 20 Vintage Tall frets complete this setup.
How can the hum of single-coil pickups be reduced?
A balanced blend of the two single-coil pickups reduces background hum while maintaining clarity.
What strings should be installed on this bass?
The long 34" / 863.6 mm scale length requires long scale bass strings. The .045-.105 gauge matches the Fender 7250M steel strings supplied originally.
Is the bass delivered with a gig bag?
A Deluxe gig bag is included. This right-handed model features an alder body with a glossy Fiesta Red polyester finish and a three-ply mint green pickguard.
