A direct descendant of the Jazz Bass born in the early 60s, the Player II series made in Mexico emphasizes modern playability and stage reliability. This "Modified Active" version adds a versatile preamp and Noiseless pickups to retain the iconic tone while controlling background noise both on stage and in the studio.

Ideal for intermediate to advanced bassists as well as demanding beginners, this Jazz Bass excels in funk, jazz, rock, pop, and R&B. The passive mode offers classic character, while the active mode and 3-band EQ allow sculpting modern sounds for slap or more compressed lines.
The Sound
The two Noiseless single-coil pickups deliver the snappy attack and definition typical of the Jazz Bass, without unwanted hum. The pan pot allows precise blending of neck and bridge pickups, while the 3-band preamp boost/cut shapes bass, mids, and treble with accuracy. The alder body provides balance and projection, the rosewood fingerboard softens the upper spectrum, and the HiMass bridge enhances sustain and note stability.
