The Sound

The alder + maple combination provides a natural balance, with singing mids and a clear attack, while the rosewood fingerboard rounds off the upper spectrum for a woodier tone and very musical articulation. The two Early '60s style single-coil pickups deliver the classic Jazz Bass "growl": precise and biting at the bridge, rounder and more enveloping at the neck. The stacked controls (volume and tone per pickup) allow very fine adjustments without a selector switch, perfect for sculpting the mix.
