Designed for intermediate to expert bassists, this 5-string effortlessly covers funk, jazz, pop, rock, gospel, or fusion. The passive mode delivers a familiar vintage tone, while the active mode provides deep lows and sculptable mids to cut through the mix.

The Sound

The selected alder body provides tonal balance and controlled attack. The combination of Ultra II Noiseless Vintage pickups (SS) offers a clear, defined, and hum-free register. The Ultra II active preamp features bass/treble boost/cut, a mid boost/cut with a 2-position selector (325 Hz or 750 Hz), and a dedicated passive tone control. The HiMass bridge increases sustain and response, with options for string-through-body or top-loading string installation. The "Modern D" neck and maple fingerboard with a compound 10"-14" radius promote low action, smooth bends, and stable intonation across the entire scale.
