The Essentials to Know About the Fender Vintera III Mid '60s Mustang Guitar

  • Vintage look and feel true to the sixties: alder body, maple neck with "Mid '60s C" profile.

  • 7.25" rosewood fingerboard with "Vintage Tall" frets for smooth and precise playability.

  • Two Mid '60s single-coil pickups delivering a clear, punchy, and articulate tone.

  • Vintage-style floating Mustang vibrato and white button tuners for controlled expression.

The Offset Icon of the Sixties, Carefully Reissued

Born in the 1960s, the Mustang conquered surf, garage, and indie scenes thanks to its offset shape, short scale length, and immediate personality. The Vintera III series brings these historic features back to life with period-accurate wood choices, neck profiles, and hardware - here presented in an irresistibly retro Dakota Red finish.

Who Is It For and What Styles?

Perfect for beginner to intermediate guitarists as well as experts seeking an inspiring short scale. Its fast playability and lively response shine in indie rock, surf, garage, pop, and punk, while its clear articulation also makes it convincing in funk and rhythm playing.

The Sound

The alder/maple-rosewood combination delivers balanced mids, crystalline highs, and well-defined lows. The two Mid '60s single coils provide the typical Fender snap and brightness, from precise twang to a warmer woody tone by adjusting the Master Volume and Master Tone. The floating Mustang vibrato adds singing nuances without sacrificing tuning stability, while the short scale favors attack and lively sustain, ideal for punchy rhythms and expressive melodic lines.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

The guitar comes with a Deluxe gig bag. For maintenance and stage use, choose a 9-42 nickel string set (matching the original gauge), a standard strap, a clip-on tuner, and a quality 6.35 mm jack cable. A universal guitar stand will protect the instrument between sessions.
