A Californian Sixties Heritage, Reinvented

Born from the collaboration between Leo Fender and Roger Rossmeisl, the Palomino pays tribute to Fender acoustics of the 1960s while embracing fully contemporary performance. This California Vintage model retains retro codes (6-in-line headstock, binding, "Block" inlays) and combines them with modern lutherie for a guitar with character, reliable on stage and in the studio.

Thanks to its balanced auditorium body and "Modern V" neck profile, the Palomino suits ambitious beginner guitarists as well as intermediate/advanced players seeking comfort and precision. Ideal for fingerstyle, folk, pop, acoustic rock, and blues, it easily transitions from fingerpicking to broad strumming without losing clarity.

Sound

The solid Sitka spruce top delivers attack, dynamics, and projection, while the solid ovangkol offers smooth mids, present lows, and silky highs for a very balanced spectrum. The Performance-X bracing, both advanced and "scalloped," frees the top for more nuance, sustain, and responsiveness at both low and high playing velocities. The 25.5" / 648 mm scale length slightly tensions the strings for precise articulation, and the bone nuts enrich the harmonics. Plugged in, the Sonitone Plus finely blends piezo and body sensor to naturally reproduce the instrument's air and wood.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

Use phosphor bronze strings .012-.052 (original Fender reference 60L) to preserve the balance and tension designed for the scale length. An acoustic 6-string capo and a soundhole humidifier will help maintain tuning stability, playing comfort, and lutherie stability. The vintage-style hard case is included.
