American Ultra II: The Modern Evolution of the Stratocaster for Left-Handed Players
Following the lineage of reference American Stratocasters, the American Ultra II series pushes ergonomics, machining precision, and versatility to the peak. This left-handed version in "Avalanche" finish combines selected alder and premium hardware with silent electronics designed to meet contemporary demands without betraying Fender's DNA.
For Which Guitarist and Styles?
Ideal for the left-handed intermediate to professional player, this Strat excels in pop, rock, funk, blues, and fusion. The Modern "D" neck and 10"-14" compound radius offer low action and smooth bends, while the locking tuners and 2-point tremolo ensure impeccable tuning stability on stage or in the studio.
The Sound
The Ultra II Noiseless Vintage Strat pickups deliver the classic Stratocaster "chime" and clarity without hum. The 5-position selector covers crystalline tones at the intermediate positions and more biting attacks at the bridge. The S-1 switch, integrated into the volume knob, adds the neck pickup to positions 1 and 2 for fuller textures and thick chords. The alder provides balanced mids, and the quartersawn maple adds attack precision, while the stainless steel saddles and cold-rolled steel block enhance sustain and intonation.
