A Stratocaster Designed for the Stage, in the "Player" Spirit
This Player II Modified carries the Stratocaster DNA (ergonomics, vibrato, sharp tones) while orienting it towards modern use: noise reduction with Noiseless pickups, beefier humbucker at the bridge, and more effective controls. The result: a Strat built to play loud, precise, and versatile, without losing the Fender touch.
For Which Guitarists and Styles?
Ideal for intermediate to advanced guitarists who want a versatile electric guitar ready to play at home, rehearsals, or concerts. The HSS configuration is particularly suited for rock, pop, funk, modern blues, and more saturated genres thanks to the humbucker (with coil split to regain more "single-coil" attack when needed).
The Sound
The alder body provides a very Strat-balanced tone: present mids, clean lows, and clear highs, which helps maintain clarity in clean sounds as well as with effects. The pair of Noiseless pickups (neck and middle) aim for an articulate and dynamic sound, with less hum, perfect for funky rhythms, arpeggios, and singing leads. At the bridge, the Player II Modified humbucker offers more density, output, and sustain for saturated riffs and solos; the push/pull allows splitting it for finer, more biting tones. The treble-bleed on the volume preserves brightness when cleaning up the tone with the knob.

Questions frequently asked
Can the bridge humbucker be split?
The Tone 2 push/pull potentiometer activates the coil split of the Player II Modified humbucker located at the bridge. This switching allows for sharper and more biting attacks.
Are the pickups on this Stratocaster noise-free?
The neck and middle pickups are Player II Noiseless Strat models designed to reduce noise. They retain an articulate sound for arpeggios and funk rhythms.
What is the neck profile of the Fender Stratocaster Player II Modified HSS?
The neck features a Modern "C" profile and a maple fingerboard. The 9.5-inch (241 mm) radius is combined with a 42 mm nut width. The 22 Medium Jumbo frets complete this configuration.
What type of vibrato is equipped on this guitar?
A 2-point synchronized tremolo with block saddles and a chamfered tremolo block is installed, along with Deluxe locking tuners with short posts.
Is this HSS configuration suitable for rock and funk?
The HSS setup combines two Noiseless Strat pickups and a Player II Modified humbucker at the bridge, selectable via a 5-way switch. The alder body provides pronounced mids, clean lows, and clear highs.
