American Ultra II: The Modern Telecaster Designed for Stage and Studio
This American Ultra II Telecaster follows the line of performance-oriented Fender Telecasters: a timeless aesthetic with clearly modern upgrades. Combining refined finishes, optimized ergonomics, and advanced electronics, it targets guitarists who want the Tele spirit with more comfort, precision, and noiseless operation, without compromising responsiveness.
Who Is It For, and In Which Styles?
Ideal for intermediate to advanced guitarists seeking a reliable and versatile electric guitar, this Telecaster excels in rock, pop, country, funk, and blues. Its fast neck and upper fret access also make it an excellent choice for clean, articulate lead parts as well as sharp rhythm playing where clarity without unwanted noise is desired.
Tone
The selected alder body delivers a very Fender-balanced sound: present mids, clean lows, and clear highs, perfect for retaining the typical Telecaster "twang" and attack. The Ultra II Noiseless Vintage Tele pickups maintain the Tele character (snappy, precise, dynamic) while greatly reducing background noise, which is helpful in studio, on stage, and with higher gain settings. The 3-position selector covers the classics (bridge, middle, neck), while the S-1 switch adds a series wiring option to thicken the signal and increase output, useful for denser tones without changing guitars. The string-through-body bridge with 6 chromed brass saddles promotes a crisp attack, precise intonation, and solid sustain.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
This guitar comes with a Deluxe molded case. To stay close to the original string gauge, choose electric strings in .009-.042 (nickel plated steel); this is the factory-installed gauge. The 1/8" truss rod wrench (Allen) is also recommended for neck relief adjustments.
